Dear Mary, There is a Mary Stonehouse age 60 that died April 10, 1928 in Brooklyn. Kings County Death Certificate # 8174. Also a Agnes V F Stonehouse age 22 months who died April 30, 1899 in Brooklyn, Kings County Death Certificate # 7341. They are listed on the German Genealogy _http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/_ (http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/) or Italian Genealogy Group _http://www.italiangen.org/_ (http://www.italiangen.org/) for NYC. You could order copies of the certificates from LDS since there would be two it would cost you 8.00. Mary's film # would be FHL US/CAN Film # 2057101 and the film # for Agnes would be FHL US/CAN Film # 1324016. In particular, Thomas William STONEHOUSE, his wife Mary Ellen (FORD) STONEHOUSE, their daughter Stella STONEHOUSE, their son William STONEHOUSE, and Mary's siblings Elizabeth FORD, Margaret/Rita FORD, and George FORD. Thomas William STONEHOUSE was back living in Canada when he died and is buried there at Notre Dame des Neiges, as are one son who died young in Montreal and one daughter who died in Brooklyn (Agnes Victoria Florence STONEHOUSE). I've been trying to find a death date for Mary Ellen (FORD) STONEHOUSE, and now wonder if perhaps she died during the time they were living in Brooklyn. I don't see any burial records for her in the Drouin collection (i.e. Quebec Catholic parish registers), and she doesn't appear to be buried at Notre Dame des Neiges either. As they were Catholic, if she did die in Brooklyn, she might perhaps have been buried in a Catholic cemetery in the area. I would appreciate any tips that you might be able to offer for finding the right cemetery. -- Mary ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYBROOKLYN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
This is a small point of order but wanted to correct an error. To order 1 certificate from LDS is $4. To order any additional certificates up to a total of 8 per single order is an additional $2 per cert. So 2 would cost $6, not $8. Ellenjane, I am sending this purely so everyone had the same info, I am not writing to call you down. Ordering from the LDS is a great suggestion. Ellenjane, Thanks for your reply. I've already explored italiangen.org for whatever they have available there. I already have the actual burial record for Agnes Victoria Florence Stonehouse in the Drouin collection, along with her name in the Notre Dame des Neiges plot listings (she died in Brooklyn, but was buried in Montreal). I don't want to spend $18 to order the certificate on the Mary who died in 1928 at this time (I always order online directly from the archives -- not through LDS). That's why I was hoping to find a plot listing that included her among the Catholic cemeteries. I'm used to searching online in the NYC-area Jewish cemeteries, and was hoping that at least some of the Catholic Cemeteries might be online as well. -- Thanks, Mary On 8/29/2011 6:19 PM, IRED52@aol.com wrote: > Dear Mary, > There is a Mary Stonehouse age 60 that died April 10, 1928 in Brooklyn. > Kings County Death Certificate # 8174.
