After many years of searching  and calling RC churches to find when my Grandparents married I still have no answers and I sent many letters, made phone calls and sent donations. still no answers...When IGG and GGG came along  I finally found a possibility of my grandmother's first marriage to a John Sullivan , or so I thought. I also looked for other  family  in in the IGG and GGG sites as I planned a trip to NYC from Florida  first time back since 9-11-01..8 years before.I had already sent to FHC!.. but no match. I just looked again and same info there as to the cert #.So be careful when sending to NYC  for certificates. Send to FHC and pay $2 per rather than $15.I do not know how the info on the site is wrong or why, possibly a misprint... but still not found., I just rechecked and the same # and names matatch as before but not the right one. Altho the husbands name would be a popular one, Sullivan, and many Johns on the list, Grandmothers name not as popular being Mulcahy. And the year of marriage would have been way off base since they already had 7 children. Birth certificates state her married name as Sullivan and so are the childrens....Just trying to save someone some $. Check with FHC, get the film, then send for certifiate for $2 each.
