    3. Folks my 4th great grandfather Amos King of New Salem, Hampshire County, Massachusetts fought and lived through his own hell as he was with the continental army and participated at the massacre at Cherry Valley, recently a distant cousin who has no heirs sent me a box of relics including the leather wallet carried during the Revolution by Amos King. I found in the wallet a packet of newspaper clippings, 2 Brooklyn Ferry passage tickets, and a letter hand written by Amos's grandson John F. King of Hillsdale, Hillsdale County, Michigan. The letter explained the significance of the wallet and told of Amos's participation in the Battle with Burgoyne at Saratoga and briefly mentions Cherry Valley. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to prove that Amos King was present at the Battle of Saratoga? The DAR has already agreed that Amos was at Cherry Valley and the pension that he earned from that battle. Thanks Dan
