I am descended from Jacob Suydam Vedder who was b. 8/12/1818 Montgomery county, NY to Isaac Vedder and Sarah Farmer who were b. Montgomery, as well.  I cannot find any documentation for Jacob's parents or siblings in NY using familysearch.org Added to that, my great grandfather put on Jacob's death certificate that his parents were Albert Vedder and Sarah Suydam.  Jacob's baptism record states Isaac Vedder and Sarah Farmer which are the parents that my mother had in her notes.   I would appreciate assistance concerning how to find records on my Vedders in NY.   Adrian

Hi Adrian, The thought occurs to me that perhaps Suydam was Sarah's maiden name. Possibly Isaac married a widow "Sarah Farmer"?
