    1. Re: [BKLYN] Locating property records
    2. If you lived close enough, you might try going to the county offices and see if they will either look up for you or let you do the look ups your self. After all, this is exactly what someone would do if they were looking up a title on a home purchase! I've had great results in parts of NJ doing just this.....Jack ---------- Original Message ---------- From: Peggy Bowman via <nybrooklyn@rootsweb.com> To: nykings@rootsweb.com, nybrooklyn@rootsweb.com Subject: [BKLYN] Locating property records Date: Fri, 12 Dec 2014 21:40:34 -0500 I am requesting some help in finding information, hopefully online, regarding property my great-grandparents owned in Brooklyn and possibly in Queens. According to New York state census and the US census, my great-grandparents owned a home on Stanhope St in Brooklyn from around 1905 to 1942 when my great-grandmother passed. I would like to know more about that property and was wondering where I can search for the information. Also, somewhere between the 1920 and the 1930 census, my great-grandparents, their daughter and son-in-law moved to Queens and lived on 215th St. I can't get a clear picture of exactly when they moved or whether or not it was owned by my great-grandparents or by their son-in-law. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
