Hi folks. I have the official certification of a 1926 family member's birth, issued by The City of New York, Department of Health, Bureau of Vital Records. It contains no amplifying information that I suspect was required for the actual birth certificate. Can anyone tell me if copies of the actual birth certificate by the doctor would be available? If so, to whom would I send the request. Thanks in advance. Joe
No, not doctor's records available. Did you request the "long form?" They often send the short form unless stipulated.
