Barb, thanks for the "Bare Bone Facts" which I did print off and have checked some of the links you provided. Wish I had this list when I muddled through my first attempt at finding some relatives who live in Brooklyn. The Family in question is John Morrow born about 1841 in Ireland. Died 1 Apr 1895 age 54 - Sources: Letter from his sister-in-law and Green Wood Cemetery Records. At the time of his death he was living at 54 India street, Brooklyn. The cemetery record states he died in M E Hospital. The only hospital I could find that might fit that is Mount Eden in the Bronx, no longer in existence. I would like to find a death certificate for him, hoping it may give his parent's names. I would also like to find his marriage certificate to Agnes McClurg (lots of different spellings on birth certificates of children - McLeod, McLoud, McCloudet, McCloud.) Using the 1880 and 1900 census I find the first child Jane was born between 1867 and 1870. Also according to the census his wife came to the US from Ireland in 1865. So marriage was probably between 1866 and 1870 Using Steve Morse' site I have found the birth certificates for the last 7 of the 11 children: Agnes 1875 - 100 Huron Street, Greenpoint, Kings; John 1877 - 100 Huron Street Female 1879 - 100 Huron Street This child may have been named Margaret (age 5/12 in 1880 census John Francis 1884 - 54 India Street, Brooklyn John Russel 1887 - Same Frank B 1889 - Same I have not as yet round the birth record for the first 4 children Jane born about Sept 1869 James H born about 1870 Maria M born about 1873 Agnes W born about Oct 1874 Any suggestions you or any member of the group may have that would help would be appreciated.
