    1. [BKLYN] If you're missing New York....

    3. ...we're now on the cusp of finding out if this will be a storm that'll break records, or if Long Island and Connecticut get the brunt of it, as the latest report forewarn. Meanwhile....many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows that run on Mondays were canceled, as were the NY Knicks and Nets basketball games. Wall Street was running slow, but in the black (phew) as companies scurried to release their suburban employees. Metro North, aka the ole New York Central Railroad, added extra cars to the trains for an early rush hour exodus. Metro airports canceled flights early...that's the big three: LaGuardia, Kennedy and Newark. Mayor de Blasio set a curfew for non-urgent vehicles to be off Manhattan streets by 11pm. Major driving routes scooted folks off to keep the roads clear for emergency vehicles. Most schools finished up the day with cancelations for tomorrow, and some for Wednesday, too. NYS Regents exams have been rescheduled for the high school kids. Yup, NY still has those harrowing state exams; we're the Empire State remember. Right now it's pretty and misty white. The winds rumble in the background but don't feel overwhelming yet.... Still homesick?
