I'm sure all of us have encountered deceased relatives who should have been listed in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI) but were not, and we've wondered why. Well, tomorrow (Sunday, March 15th) "60 Minutes" is going to air a story about the large number of deceased people not listed in the SSDI and the many living people who are listed in the SSDI. According to the "60 Minutes" website, "Errors in the government's Death Master File are costing taxpayers billions and creating nightmares for those wrongly declared dead."
