Hi to everyone, Recently I found my gggrandfather, Redmond McMahon and his wife Bridget, living with their son, Ross McMahon, in the 12th Ward of Brooklyn, in the 1865 New York State Census. Also in the same house was a brother to Ross named Michael and a sister named Julia. From here on I am stumped. I have never heard of Julia or any of the other people. I cannot find any of the others in any census, passenger list, naturalization list, or birth, marriage or death list. The census page is on Ancestry.com. The family is on page 14 and 15. There are three nephews, a niece, a sister-in-law and a boarder. Maybe they just got off the boat but if so, I can't find them. I would greatly appreciate any help. Ray, I did look at 1865 census and Redmond and Bridget had 9 children. The sister-in-law Rose, 18 yr may be wife of Michael 30 yr. Both have married checked off. Found Redmond death b.1793-d.June 17, 1869. He is listed in Find A Grave with obit. Also found them in 1855 Census, Ward 12. Redmond is listed as Rodman, and Ross listed as Rofs 23 yrs., George 28, Michael 20, Bridget 17, daughter-in-law Maria 21, Grandchild Elizabeth 8 mos. This was also found on Ancestry.
