    3. The families I research in NY are BRIDGE AND DEVINE. One conundrum is the intertwining of these families. After Frederick Bridge's wife died he married Martha Bell Devine. She was married for a short time to Thomas Devine. They had one son John Devine. Name: Martha Washington BELL Father: William BELL ( - ) Mother: Mary KELLY ( - ) Individual Facts for Martha... Death 18/19 Jan 1941 Birth 29 Feb 1872 Manhattan County, New York Godmother to Francis Bridge (son of her later 2nd husband): 3 Dec 1899; St. Cecilia's Church, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York Residence 1900 (about age 28) 64 Morton St.; Brooklyn, Kings County, New York Burial: Holy Cross Cem, North Arlington, Bergen County, New Jersey Marriage to Thomas DEVINE (1872-1894) Married bef 1891 (before about age 19) Children: John W. DEVINE (1891-1926) The question is who was Thomas Devine? He shows up below Martha on the 1892. By 1894 a City Directory has a Martha Devine - widow. Martha remarried in 1904. Have ordered two possible death certs and neither was for him. There are two marriages between Bridge men and Devine girls in the next generation, so we wonder about this Thomas Devine.
