The Petition is to ask Ancestry.com to keep "OLD" ancestry as an alternative. After a lot of us filed complaints about the NEW ancestry.com being horrible (and if you are serious about research it is--they have taken away a LOT of functions and made things a LOT more difficult to do there) and seeing they are ignoring us, someone has started a petition hoping Ancestry.com will listen to us. You do NOT need to be an ancestry.com member to sign this petition, so even if YOU don't use it, please try to help those of us that do by signing the petition and passing on the link for it to everyone you know. Last I checked we only had 1700 signatures which is NOT going to be enough to get them to listen to us "old timers". The NEW ancestry makes it more difficult to search, print and so many other functions don't work well either. Please help out your fellow researchers by signing and passing it on. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/600/803/575/save-ancestrycom-classic/ Thank you! Joyce
I know it would be difficult but if you were to identify the areas that present difficulty...identify those things they've taken away...and how, specifically, they've created a horrible situation they may be more apt to examine those areas...look for "fixes" and even ask users to offer recommendations to remedy the faults. Without specifics they will probably ignore the "malcontents".... Just saying...
