Hi Madeline, I used fultonhistory.com and found this entry in the New York NY Herald: New York NY Herald, Wednesday, May 21, 1913 SURROGATE’ COURT, CHAMBERS, …..Wills for probate……..Barbara Kneib. I then checked family.org for "New York Probate Records 1629-1913, scrolled down to Wills Index 1910-1923, Vol A-Z and found: Kneib Barbara, DATE WILL PROBATED:May 21, 1913; Volume 978, Page 182. Scrolling down again on "New York Probate Records 1629-1913, I found more volumes with some probated wills in them but I could not find it. I would suggest that maybe some kind person, while down at 31 Chambers Street, Surrogate Court, in Manhattan could copy it for you, or you could send for it. Both fultonhistory.com and familysearch.org are free. I looked under Kneib, Knieb, Kneibe and Kniebe. There was nothing for Herman. There were no obituaries in The New York Times. Good luck, Mary Ann
