Hi, Some years ago, when I had access to the above census, I obtained a third hand image of my 2xgreat uncle John A HALTON, (Reporter & Editor) at that time my interest was in tracing him and his brother Dr Frederick J HALTON who was staying with him, both having been born in Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland and moved to New York in Jun 1866. The image had the following details:- STATE: New York; Kings County; City of Brooklyn, New York. Supervisor Dist: 2; Enumerator Dist: 115; Ward: 9; Sheet 5. The actual address is blurred but appears to be 60 Stirling Place. I since learnt he 'married' between 1900 and 1909 a lady known as Elizabeth, although the marriage record has never been found and they went to live at 103 St John's Place, Brooklyn until his death in 1929 (from his obituary in the NY Times and Standard Union) and Elizabeth's will. Now a note in one of Frederick's letters home suggests Elizabeth may have been boarding with them both in the 1900 census, but on my copy her surname cannot be deciphered, (line 84) as is the name above hers (line 83) also a boarder and possibly her cousin. Does anyone on the list have access to a better image or transcript and can provide the details? Does anyone have any further information? Thank-you for your help, Bernard.
