In the 1910 census, look at the Pfeifer family (without the double "f") in West New York, Hudson County, New Jersey, ED 296, p. 3A. "Madeline" could be Adelaide. In the 1920 census, Willaim and Maria Pfeiffer were listed as William and Maud F Phiffer.
