I thank everyone that remembers the sacrifice that Michael and so many others made that fateful day. Michael was just going off-duty whent the call came in - he jumped on the truck and rode downtown with his brother firefighters. He died doing what he loved - helping others. I'm afraid I don't see remembering close to 3,000 deaths as "political." I am sorry if some do - but from my still grieving family to all of you - thank you for remembering.
