Try http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/ , click on databases, then Vital Statistics. See if you can locate the child in the death database. Try all of the borroughs in case it was reported incorrectly. If the child is listed, copy down the death certificate number. Once you get the death certificate number, you can order a copy of the death certificate for $4 from the LDS: Go to Family Search Library: http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp, click Place Search; enter the city and state you are searching for. Look through the listings for Vital Statistics, then Death Records. If you know the death cert # you can locate the microfilm number for that film and order the record. If you don't know the death cert # you will have to order the index for the city and year and have it sent to your local Family Search library, look the # up and then order the certificate. Also, try RAOGK to see if there is someone willing to look the info up for you; it's usually free except for copy costs: http://raogk.com/ Good luck! Buried with them is a 5 year old boy with a different last name. He also was born much outside the time frame of my GUncle's death. I wrote the cemetery and was told they do not have relationships. The records are very bad. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. ___________________________________ The Bklyn Info Pages Website: www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/ List Administrator: NancyL916@aol.com Post to List: nybrooklyn@rootsweb.com ___________________________________ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYBROOKLYN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
