    2. As I already posted in response to those seeking copies of divorces, that are not their own. The Kings County Clerk has an index of all matriminial actions, and may provide you with a divorce date, if the papers are less than 100 years old. If they are more than 100 years old, you may file a request for copies of the actual divorce. This time factor agrees with other NYC counties, WestchesterCounty,and I think is a state mandate.
