The Kings County Clerk has an index of all matriminial actions, and may provide you with a divorce date, if the papers are less than 100 years old. If they are more than 100 years old, you may file a request for copies of the actual divorce. This time factor agrees with other NYC counties, WestchesterCounty,and I think is a state mandate.
