Hi Ah yes, the Sea Beach Line. The city confiscated some land from my Gf who owned a big farm in the Brooklyn area near 10/11 Avenue. I have a photo of some of my maternal family sitting on the ground watching the workers laying the tracks just south of their home on 61 Street. I used to also take the Sea Beach line to 34 Street, walk to GC, and thru a pedestrian tunnel to GCS. One time someone showed me an interesting phenomena. At one of the pedestrian "crossroads" there is an arched ceiling. If one stood in one corner and wispered something, a person diametrically opposite could hear them with great clarity! I also remember getting off the SB at 34 street and walking to the "8th Avenue INDEPENDENT subway line", later incorporated in th City Lines. Hope it helps. ken **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos.
