Hi, I want to send for a death cert. but am not sure which borrough to request it for. It is for Edward A. Clayton. He died on Aug. 5. 1864. In the 1860 census he is in the 13th ward, 1st div., county of New York, State of New York. His wife died in 1861 and her funeral took place at 25 Tompkins St. I am just wondering if that would be Manhattan or Brooklyn? I am hoping to get the death cert. and find where they are buried. I have already checked Greenwood where a lot of family is buried, but they are not listed. And I join in with everyone else on how helpful and great the people on this site are. Thank you in advance!
