Sorry but I should put the dates in my email: 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1890s. The Trow City Directory for New York, New York would that be only Manhattan or would it also include Brooklyn? If it is only Manhattan how likely would it have for someone that lived in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn to work in Manhattan?
