There is a fascinating story about the potter's field on Hart Island in today's New York Times; here's a link to the story: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/24/nyregion/24hart.html?ref=nyregion The article says that it is estimated that 800,000 people have been buried on the island since 1869, with 1,500 added each year. I am looking for census records for a specific address - is there any way to do this at a finer grain than the Ward level? I know which Ward the address is in, but that section of the census is 280 pages, so finding the street is tedious to say the least. _____ Ward Dennis Brooklyn, USA
