    3. Hi Judie:The record index is available at my local fhc, (the index only includesthe name of the groom). In addition my local fhc has a copy of a research doc done by a couple of LDS scholars in 2006.That doc includes both bride and grooms name, so I know I have the right couple since the cert #'s match upMy grandfather immigrated to NYC from Unterheimbach Wuert. in 1881 at the age of 23.He married my grandmother in Ohio in1900. On that marriage doc he stated that he was a widower. My (late) dad said he had a wife and daughter in NYC. The wife's maiden name was Steinle. Something happened and both wife and daughter died. And then he moved to Ohio. I contacted a member of the Steinle family who lived near my grandparents in Ohio and inquired if they had a female Steinle who married my grandfather in NYC.He sent me a copy of the 1895 wedding photo of the couple. HOWEVER, they must have divorced or ??? since she didn't die 'til 1945 --2 years after my grandfather. I'm guessing my grandmother didn't know abt wife #2 ( a very brief marriage) I think I discovered a family secret.Shirley---------- Original Message ---------- From: Judie Cook <[email protected]> To: "Shirley Hulett" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [BKLYN] Questions :1895 Brooklyn marriage cert Date: Mon, 6 Aug 2012 00:36:57 -0400 Have you been to your local LDS church to get them to order it for you....then you go back and view it. If you're lucky, they'll make a copy of whatever comes up on the screen. Might be worth a phone call... luck...
