    1. Re: [BKLYN] Questions :1895 Brooklyn marriage cert
    2. Shirley, Sorry, I don't have info on the 1895 documents, but for the record here's what I have for a Feb. 1924 Kings Co. courthouse marriage. I received four different documents about this marriage and here are the items related to prior marriages: 1) Affidavit for License to Marry: reports "Number of marriage" for both groom and bride, "Former (spouse or spouses) living or dead" for both, "Is applicant a divorced person" for both, and "If so, when and where divorce or divorces were granted" for both 2) Marriage License (different title, but same form as Affidavit): reports "Number of marriage" for both groom and bride, "Former (spouse or spouses) living or dead" for both, "Is applicant a divorced person" for both, and "If so, when and where divorce or divorces were granted" for both 3) Marriage Certificate to Clergymen and Magistrates: does not mention marriage number or any related information 4) Certificate and Record of Marriage: reports Number of Groom's/Bride's Marriage" but no other related information PJ, Texas > HiI'm hoping someone on this list can tell me what information In might > findon an 1895 Brooklyn marriage application/license/certificate.(not sure > theLDS correct term) Kings County NY Marriage recordGroom: Haas Karl > --Bride: Christiana Dorothea SteinleMarrige date: Nov 28 1895Kings 5776 > H200 > Cert. no. 5301-6530 Sep-Dec 1895 - FHL US/CAN Film [ 1562039 Among the > details I'm hoping to learn is if this were mygrandfather's first or > second marriage.
