I haven't donated work, but I did donate several 1930s yearbooks from Brooklyn Poly that had belonged to a deceased family member and would otherwise have been discarded.  The Society seemed pleased to have the books.  If I remember right, I just telephoned to asked if they wanted them.  Then, since I was in Brooklyn at the time, dropped them off.   J.
