    2. Trenton State Gazette, published in Trenton, N.J. January 2 1854 Fatal Shooting Affray About 11 o'clock last night a fracas occurred at the porter-house of Wm. BRENNAN, in First street, corner of North Seventh street, Williamsburg, in which a man named Micael HORAN, about 30 years of age, residing in Fourth street, near North Fifth street, was instantly killed by the contents of a fowling piece, discharged by Wm. BRENNAN, keeper of the house. The charge of shot took effect in the left side of the stomach, just below the heart, and the unfortunate man expired without uttering a word. Coroner COOKE summoned a Jury and proceeded to hold an inquest at the 2d Ward Station house at 11 o'clock this forenoon. BRENNAN, immediately after having committed the deed, proceeded to the Twenty-second Ward Station House, and delivered himself up. (N.Y. Tribune, Dec. 31.)
