I live in Hicksville. It is not in the town of Hempstead. There used to be a home in Hicksville called the Jones Institute. Its location was West John Street, near Charlotte Avenue. By the way, I had a relative that I recently learned of who was in Pilgrim State. This was probably in the 1950's. There was a nursing home in the township of Hempstead and the most recent name was the A. Holly Patterson Home. I believe it was on Jerusalem Avenue.
