    3. Thanks so much for posting this question to the list. I'm sorry that I don't have an answer, but I never knew about FultonHistory.com and am finding tons of articles on my family that I've never seen before! If you get a response privately on how to confine the search, please share! Thanks again, Sue On Sat, Apr 21, 2012 at 3:13 PM, [email protected] <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi Guys: > > Can anyone post to the list explicit instructions to confine a search > specifically to The Brooklyn Daily EAGLE when searching a surname on > fultonhistory.com ??? > > I know there is a way, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out, > and with a common surname you have to scroll through hundreds (if not > thousands) of 'hits'. > > Thanking all who respond in advance. 3. Sue, I thought I had posted my response to the list, but apparently I didn't. In case it may be helpful to others, I'll repost: If you want to search only the Brooklyn Eagle, choose "Boolean" for search type, and in the search box type "Brooklyn NY Daily Eagle and [search term]" Replace [search term] with the name or surname that you're looking for. You don't need to use quotes. If you want to confine your search to a certain range of years, you can. For example, to search for the last name Mulvany between 1860 and 1870, use "Brooklyn NY Daily Eagle 1860~~1870 and Mulvany" Hope this helps!
