    3. I have the family in 1900 in Brooklyn, Only Margaret [Maggie] is shown along with her brothers, Henry C. and Edward A. and sister, Irene, and the mother. Father Lawrence J. was in Canada with the rest of the family. On 1901 Toronto ON Canada Census, the whole family is back in Canada. No Mabel A. Florence A only lived 17 days. Just need to prove parentage for one of the grandaughters of Margaret A. Corney. Margaret supposedly told relatives that there was a fire and her papers were burned. She said her birth was 24 March 1887, Miami Florida., thereby making herself two years younger and not born NY. This family has changed names, dates of birth, places of birth like others change clothes. Don't get me wrong I love them, but they sure make it hard to fine them. Many thanks. pic

    2. Since the triplet (???) were all born the same date check the 1900 census to see who mom and dad are. Sorry for cross-list but not sure where births took place in 1885. Know they lived on lower East Side. 1900 Jane and some children were on Brookyn Census. Have checked on line, but not on Steve's site as NY Births start at 1891 There. I need the Cert #'s to verify parentage. 1. Margaret A. CORNEY b. 24 Mar 1885 - NY or Brooklyn Father: Lawrence J. CORNEY Mother: Jane BOARD Margaret Corney/Streeter/Sargent d. 10 Sep 1959 St. Catharines, ON, Canada 2.Mabel A. CORNEY 24 Mar 1885 - d. ? Father: Lawrence L. CORNEY Mother: Jane BOARD d. ? 3. Florence A. CORNEY - D. Cert #* 24 Mar 1885 - d.13 Apr 1885 Father: Lawrence J. CORNEY Mother: Jane BOARD I've received my Grandfather's Death Cert from NYC. Now need his sister's Mabel and Florence. Or to prove that the 3 girls listed above are not related to each other. Florence A. CORNEY is on the Death Cert site, believe 2 lines below Edward A. Corney [he is their brother, he died in 1947.] The site is down at this time. Thankful for any help. Patricia Corney ************** Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. 3. If you cannot find him, and he originated England, Scotland or Wales, he may have been a British Home Chile. 100,000 children were sent out from England to Canada and the US and later to Australia and South Africa. You can check at: http://collectionscanada.gc.ca/index/ Descendents in Canada are trying to have the Government to declare 2009 THE YEAR OF THE BRITISH HOME CHILD - the 160th year anniversary. I am a descendent of 2 British Home Children. My grandmother and her sister. I never knew till I began searching for family. All I knew was she and her sister emigrated to Canada. Started checking and found them both at he above sight. Joined the British Home Children List. So many knowledgeable people and willing to help all. Hope this helps. Pat Corney BHC Descendent

The auction includes deeds and tax assessment records for property on Pennsylvania Avenue and Sutter Avenue. http://cgi.ebay.com/1860s-DEEDS-TAX-BILLS-DOCUMENTS-CITY-SURVEY-Brooklyn-NY_W0QQitemZ110256907408QQihZ001QQcategoryZ156493QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or http://tinyurl.com/4bmya8 (the second is just a shortened version of the first, just in case there's a problem). 1. [BKLYN] John Quincy Kraft died March 11 1915 Holy Trinity Church on Montrose Ave.
    2. John Quincy Kraft who died March 11 1915 had his Mass at Holy Trinity Church R. C. on Montrose Ave in Brooklyn. Has anyone had any success with getting records from this Church? FHC lists a Holy Trinity Church but it's a Protestant church on Montague St I have a brick wall on establishing his village in Baden and perhaps a record of death from his church may help. He immigrated in 1843 at the age of 12 but have not been able to locate any passenger records or his application for citizenship. All census records just indicate Baden if anything. 1. [BKLYN] Memorial Day
    2. Thank you all who wrote in response to the Memorial Day Message. I want to point out and I should have stated it first, I did NOT write the first part of the message about THE VETERAN. The last 2 paragraphs are mine. The poem itself has no author that I'm aware of, it was sent to me in an email from a co-worker. If someone knows the author, please send it along to the list so as to give credit to the basic truths of it's words. Nancy **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. 2. It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote. It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag It is the VETERAN, who serves under the Flag Please keep in mind why we honor this weekend. Many wars have been fought and too many men and women have given their lives so we may celebrate in our freedom. Let's not let the veteran stand alone when that flag passes us by in your local parade. Remember all the men and women they have known that did not come home. Raise your arm and honor those who gave us the future. Nancy **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food.
