CONDON, John S. (1902-1977) LASKOWSKI, Julia M. (1905-1982) COLLINS ? (?-?) (parents of William Collins of Patchogue, NY) (LIVING) HARRIS ? (?-?) (parents of Everett HARRIS) (LIVING) Holtsville, NY HARRIS is of Indian descent, but I don't know anything about the parents, except the mom's name was Snooky, Collins is an uncle, Harris is another uncle. There is a widow of an uncle John CONDON, but I dont' know what her last name is. I guess I will ask my other aunt who all these people are, I'm sure she must know but the problem is, I don't know any of my aunt's maiden names who married into the family. So I guess I'm stuck at these surnames John Dvorak Niles MI ___________________________________ The Bklyn Info Pages Website: www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/ List Administrator: NancyL916@aol.com Post to List: nybrooklyn@rootsweb.com ___________________________________ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYBROOKLYN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Dear Genie Friends, I have received so many emails, just in the past week or so, where list members, their spouses, or family members are facing some medical challenges that are frightening to them. While we share this wonderful hobby researching our ancestors, at times members find comfort expressing their living pain, to a stranger, offlist. We need to consider that we don't really know what someone is struggling with, when we feel impatient. Please think of these folks at noon each day. Send out your strong genie vibes, prayers, or whatever is appropriate for you. Barbara ************** Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges? These are the names associated with my husband's ancestor Harry E. McKnight. He was an orphan at an early age and bounced around to several different orphanages so we know very little of his family. I have been able to piece together some of the history of his mother's side from his biography, Census records, death records and the Brooklyn Eagle. At the bottom of this list is the family that took him in after he ran away from the orphanage. I have no information on his father Robert Woods McKnight other than military records under the name of Robert Woods and his death record. If anyone knows these names please contact me at alicefluegge@alicefluegge.com. Thank you in advance for any help I can receive. http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/NYBROOKLYN/2007-01/1168321745 Bob, Here's a link to the history of the Long Island State Hospital. In it's long history and latest incarnation in 1998 is now the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, 681 Clarkson Ave. You'll have to contact them to find out if they have records going back that far. Barbara in Jax -------------- Original message from Bob Raynor <boray51@hotmail.com>: -------------- > I'm trying to find out if my distant relative is listed as an attendant in 1900 at Long island State Hospital. A person with the same name is listed and all the info, spelling of name, places of her birth and parents birth are the same for what I have. Does the Hospital still exist? Are records available for genealogy > research? Any help appreciated. > _________________________________________________________________ Invite your mail contacts to join your friends list with Windows Live Spaces. > It's easy! http://spaces.live.com/spacesapi.aspx?wx_action=create&wx_url=/friends.aspx&mkt= > en-us > ___________________________________ > > The Bklyn Info Pages Website: > www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/ > > List Administrator: NancyL916@aol.com > > Post to List: nybrooklyn@rootsweb.com > ___________________________________ > ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYBROOKLYN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes > in the subject and the body of the message
