    1. [BKLYN] Long Island State Hospital
    2. Bob, There were two Kings County facilities: Long Island State Hospital and its annex or branch, Long Island State Hospital at Kings Park. In 1916, Long Island State Hospital at Kings Park was renamed Kings Park State Hospital and, later still, to Kings Park Psychiatric Center. In case it is Kings Park Psychiatric Center, and not Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, that you would want to contact, then ... Kings Park Psychiatric Center and Central Islip Psychiatric Center were consolidated and relocated to the Pilgrim campus in the Fall of 1996. The following Fall, those facilities were merged into Pilgrim Psychiatric Center under one name. Thus, the records from Kings Park Psychiatric Center, as well as from Central Islip Psychiatric Center, may be at: Pilgrim Psychiatric Center 998 Crooked Hill Road Brentwood, NY 11717-1087 Tel: 631/761-3500 Fax: 631/761-2600 eMail: pilgriminfo@omh.state.ny.us http://www.omh.state.ny.us/omhweb/facilities/pgpc/facility.htm I hope this information is useful or, at least, interesting. 1. Re: [BKLYN] 1850s Marriages and Deaths
    2. In a message dated 10/2/2008 1:44:03 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, MizScarlettNY@aol.com writes: Great site! http://www.bklyn-genealogy-info.com/Newspaper/NYHerald.html ------------- In using FHS, I see a marriage between Frederick Jacobs and Mary Oppenheim, for Sep 21, 1851 (NYC). But I do not get this on the NYC Marriage Site. and when I visited the Chambers Street archives, they had no records (they said) from that time. So where did they (the FamilySearch people), get it? Was it in the 1851 Herald perhaps? Allen **************Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges? 1. [BKLYN] Scorpion/Navogate
    2. Evelyn & Bill Hinkle
    3. Good Morning.   One line that I am searching is the Scorpion(e) family living in Brooklyn.  I recently got a copy of Victor's application for Naturalization.  He was living at 64 Whipple Street.  The name,  address and occupation of his Witness to the Naturalization is:   Angelo Navogate 828 Flushing Avenue Brooklyn, a bartender.   I never paid much attention to the witness until recently when I looked at the FHC microfilm of the church records in Italy.  I found out that Victor Scorpion's mother's maiden name was Navogate.  Looking at the records on Victor, I just looked at the naturalization form and realized that Angelo Navogate had to be related to his mother.   I no longer have Ancestry, and I looked at Heritage Quest from the library, but was unable to find anything on Angelo in any census year.   Would some kind soul see if they can find anything for me?  Any help would be appreciated.   Bill Hinkle Port Orange, Florida mymarbil@yahoo.com
