West Farms is still called West Farms, although it is now a neighborhood in the New York City Borough of the Bronx/New York State County of Bronxm and no longer an independent town in Westchester County: In 1873, the City and County of New York annexed the "western" Bronx, which included all or parts of the Town of Kingsbridge, the Town of West Farms and the Town of Morrisania; or, in other words, the area west of the Bronx River and south of the City of Yonkers, from Westchester County.
