With this certificate, I also received a copy of the marriage license, which also only included names of bride & groom, date of license, and the Clerk of the Circuit Court, and person who married them. Then I also received 2 applications for marriage license, one for my granfather, and one for my grandmother, that had the parents names on them, place of birth, and where they resided. All these documents came in one package from the Clerk. So, are you trying to say that the NY marriage certificate will not hold any genealogical information? Will the license hold any information? Thanks for shedding any light on the subject. Ruth in Wisconsin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
