Since I'm still at a loss about Daniel O'Connell, tailor in NYC 1860 census, I decided to try Canada. It doesn't make sense to me that he would be in Canada in 1857, as the ship he arrived on in 1849 cross references with other documents related to NYC. I do know that some of his wife's family arrived in Canada. I hope this will be helpful to someone.
