MEETING INFO: WHAT: Growing Up in Yonkers with Eddie Dee WHEN: Saturday, November 14, 2009 @ 10 a.m. WHERE: Aldersgate Methodist Church, 600 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry (across from Mercy College on route 9) The author of two books about Yonkers, Eddie Dee was born and raised in Yonkers. Presently retired, Mr. Dee spent forty years in the field of social work, predominantly as a supervisor and director at Cardinal McCloskey Children’s and Family Services in Westchester County and NYC. In addition, he worked at Catholic Charities Family Services in Yonkers. Mr. Dee is a member and a trustee of the Yonkers Historical Society. His books are Saturday Afternoons at the Itch: More Yonkers Memories and Getty Square: The Village And Other Yonkers Memories. Guests are welcome.
