The next meeting is this coming Saturday. WCGS welcomes back Leslie Albrecht Huber on Saturday, May 9. Our local members will recall that she gave us a presentation called Crossing the Ocean with the Internet at our meeting on November 10, 2007. It was a great time so WCGS wants to hear another talk from Leslie. Her topic for this meeting will be Voyage to America. Leslie summarizes this topic on her website (_www.understandingyourancestors.com_ (http://www.understandingyourancestors.com) ) by saying, “For genealogy researchers, immigration can be a high hurdle. But for our ancestors, it was a life changing experience. Find out what setting sail to America was like during the 1800s.” A holder of a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public affairs, she has published seventy-eight articles in family history magazines such as Family Chronicle, Family Tree, Heritage Quest and Ancestry, among many others. Come on! Come to the meeting!!!
