But, it does belong to one of those series of issues regarding place name changes. First, you have to decide how you are going to handle a location that has changed its name. Before 1914, there was no Bronx County. Most of what we currently refer to as the Bronx was in New York County, Borough of the Bronx between 1898 and 1914. Before 1898, there was no Borough of the Bronx. Those areas annexed from Westchester County between 1874 and 1895 were known as the Annexed District.
