Author: famhistresearcher Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.bronx/3493.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Your Flood family is in the 1910 census and Andrew J. Flood is still alive. You will find them in the Bronx Assembly District 32 Enumeration District 1476. This ED is barely legible but they are at the top of Sheet 3B (Image number 6 once you get to the AD and ED.) AD equals Assembly District and ED means either Enumeration District or Election District depending on which census you are looking at. That is how cities are divided up just like your voting districts. You should learn about some of the tools as Joel was suggesting. The web site he works on is called stevemorse.org and it has wonderful tools. Without those tools I would not have found your family. Your family was on Hunt Ave in the 1900 census. Using that address and this tool http://stevemorse.org/census/index.html I was able to find that it was District 1476. Then I just went page by page. You can use the stevemorse.org site to search several other sites, including Ancestry. It is a much more powerful search engine. You should use it to re-search the death indexes for Andrew. Good luck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
