    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: famhistresearcher Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.bronx/3492.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: >From the NYC Death index found here http://www.germangenealogygroup.com/NYCDeath.stm There is a listing for the following: Flood, James age 19yrs Date of death: Dec 23, 1923 Cert # 7831 Bronx If you think that this might be your guy, aside from ordering the death cert from the Municipal Archives ($10 plus shipping and handling I think) or from the LDS ($2 -minimum order $4), you could try a local library to see if they have the NY Times on microfilm for that date to see if there are any articles. Ancestry does not cover that period with the full paper and I could not find a listing for that name in Ancestry's historical collection of BMD notices in the NY Times. You might want to check out the death index site for any other possibilities. There was another James 12 years old but he died in Manhattan in 1919. Also a Thomas Flood, age 19, died in Manhattan in 1916. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
