I couldn't download the map, but it is one I probably have. Marble Hill is across Harlem River from Baker Field (Columbia University). The river feeds into the Hudson River. I couldn't come up with a John Jonas on the 1900 federal census on Ancestry and it would be the only one John Jonas would be listed since he died before 1910 and wasn't born until after 1890, of which there isn't much because a lot of the records of that census were lost in a fire. I searched New York County and was looking for lists of voting districts. I looked at each one until I spotted Spuyten Duyvil. There was Spuyten Duyvil Road, but it didn't reveal anything. I went through New York Times obits for 1907 but found nothing. I think this is one I won't be able to track down, since the only living relative of John Jonas doesn't! know that much. Thanks for your interest. I appreciate it. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
