Mr. Berman was born June 17, 1937 in Bronx, N.Y. to the late Harry and Florence Berman and had been a Yolo County resident for 33 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and Senior American Legion Post 77 baseball team. He previously worked for Voice of America, Yolo County Sheriff's Department and All Phase Security. Survivors include Mr. Berman's wife of 33 years Julie Berman, his daughters Margie Berman and Angela Martinez; son Jack Stevens and his wife June; grandchildren Alicia and Michael Hernandez, Matthew Howell, Stephanie Royer, Jayson Martinez, and Zachary Stevens; great-grandchildren Jazmin Hernandez, Aaliyah Brown, an unborn great-grandaughter; and his sister Lee Grosflan. Services: Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20 at Calvary Chapel, 1580 Case Place, Woodland. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at Woodland Cemetery. Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
