Surnames: MORGAN, SLOAN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JRB.2ACE/1458 Message Board Post: I am running into a brick wall in researching my wife's ancestors located in Bronx in the early 1900s; the names Thomas MORGAN and Mary MORGAN are too common! Thomas Morgan and Mary SLOAN were born in Vermont in 1867 and 1870 respectively, married, and moved to Pennsylvania. They moved to Bronx between 1904-1909. Of the 5 (6?) children, 3 of them had moved out of the household by the 1910 census. Thomas appears to have remarried between 1904-1910; no telling if wife Mary died or they divorced. Son Harry married in 1914, but there are no traces of the rest of the family after that date. Are there directories for Bronx for the dates they might have been living there, maybe? Any sources I might consider searching? Haven't found the family in 1920 census -- they might have moved, died, ...? They may have been members of St. Pius church, where Harry was married. I have information and scans posted at the website below. Any useful information or help tips would be gladly accepted! Thanks in advance...
