    1. GERZMOKINSKY family in Bronx, early 1900s
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GERZMOKINSKY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JRB.2ACE/1457 Message Board Post: I am running into a brick wall in researching my wife's ancestors located in Bronx in the early 1900s; the surname GERZMOKINSKY is uncommon enough but constantly spelled differently, making searches a pain! (Even seen it listed as GERMINSKI) John Gerzmokinsky married Mary Woichouskia and moved from Pennsylvania to Bronx 1889-1895. They were born in Poland (Galicia?) and immigrated in the 1880s. I have NY birth certificates for 3 of their children (Mary 1895, Francis 1897, Louis 1899). I also have their 1900 and 1910 census pages and the 1914 marriage certificate of their daughter Mary. My question is, what other sources are available where I might find more information about them? They moved around a lot, otherwise I might try the 1905 or 1915 NY state census -- do these provide any useful information? Lastly, 4 of their children died in Bronx; I don't know exact dates (or even names in some cases), but they are between 1895-1897, 1898-1900, and 1900-1909, plus son Louis died between 1899-1900. Haven't found the family in 1920 census -- they might have moved, died, ...? They may have been members of St. Pius church, where Mary was married. I have information and scans posted at the website below. Any useful information or help tips would be gladly accepted! Thanks in advance...
