The 1826 address you mention is between East 175th Street and Fairmont Place, just north of the Cross Bronx Expressway. That area saw a lot of decline in the 1970's and 1980's, and some new development now; I don't know if the original building is still there now, but you could probably get a picture of it from the NYC Archives/Division of Records and Information Services [DORIS] through www.nyc.gov. In the 1930's a WPA project was to photograph buildings in the city and many can be found through this source. Good luck in your research.
