Bobby's father, Robert Cremins, Sr. was born April 20, 1907 in Knochnagoshel (Cnoc na gCaiseal) Co. Kerry. He died in Scarsdale, NY December 27, 1989. His grandfather was Daniel Cremins. Bobby's mother, Margaret Brosnan, was born February 10, 1909 in Cordal, Castleisland, Co. Kerry. She died in Scarsdale in 1983. Bobby's maternal grandfather was John Brosnan of Cordal. Recently I wrote to the Bronx County Surrogate Court to obtain a copy of a will and inventory from 1923. The response I received said there was "no estate file found". I have the death certificate so I know the person died in the Bronx. Even if there was no will wouldn't there be a file with the administrator's petition, list of heirs, inventory,etc.? What should I make of this response? Thanks for any insights and guidance as to how to follow up. Veronica
