The address for MURRAY in the 1910 census is 1160 Hoe Ave. The nearest RC church in your assumed timeframe is: St John Chrysostom Parish 985 E 167th St. Bronx, NY 10459 ====================== You may have done the same thing with 50 E. 132nd, but I can't find a census reference for it.     2. Since I'm still at a loss about Daniel O'Connell, tailor in NYC 1860 census, I decided to try Canada. It doesn't make sense to me that he would be in Canada in 1857, as the ship he arrived on in 1849 cross references with other documents related to NYC. I do know that some of his wife's family arrived in Canada. I hope this will be helpful to someone. Dr. McDaniel is a researcher, translator and lecturer and began his own genealogical research more than twenty years ago. He has been a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists for more than ten years. He holds a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and has taught Russian and Serbo-Croatian at the University of Washington (Seattle); the University of Colorado (Boulder); the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) and at UCLA. He has put his knowledge of Slavic languages to good use in his genealogy work, primarily in translating and transcribing large document sets from Russian and Polish for Jewish genealogy groups.
