Order his marriage cert from LDS in SLC which will cost two doollars and you will/should get his parents name and age. New York Times, dated 4-3-1922, page 26: Mr. and Mrs. William Gibbs announce the engagement of their daughter Rose Rowena to Jack Weinstein. Cleveland and Albany papers please copy. I know that William Gibbs and his wife Sophie were both born in Romania, both Jewish, and both came to USA in the 1890's, perhaps late 1880's. They did not come together, so perhaps they came with their parents. William's mother was Yetta Gibbs. William worked in a Suspender Factory in NYC, he lived in the Bronx for at least 1920 thru 1936, perhaps he died after that. His earlier census is listed in Manhattan. His eldest daughter was Clare Gibbs and she married and died in Cleveland, Ohio. I suspect the engagement notice of Rose's mention of Cleveland papers was because her sister lived there. This may mean that Jack Weinstein had some family in Albany, NY otherwise why mention Albany. Or perhaps the Gibbs family had someone in Albany? This marriage did not last long, because by 1930 census Rose Rowena Gibbs b. 1893 was back home in the Bronx with her parents, and she was using her maiden name, and stated she was divorced. She was a clerk with the Moving Pictures Company. I don't know anything about Jack Weinstein, I imagine he was born sometime between 1880 to 1893. I would like to identify Jack Weinstein and his parents if possible. I would like to find out if he married later and where he might be in 1930 census. Anything about him would be appreciated, I know nothing more than his name in this 1922 notice. Best regards, Lilly Martin
