Some death certificates have the burial date, but if not, the date of death should be good enough. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Sonja, In one message you say that Albert is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery and in the next you say you do not know where he is buried. If he is at Woodlawn Cemetery you should write to them and ask the location of the grave. You can also post a request for a photo at www.findagrave.com. New York City death certificates include the place and date of burial. Good luck, Veronica > Message-ID: <1256385043.792390@rootsweb.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: Esodem > Surnames: Eisel > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.br onx/3557.2.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > Thank you for the tip to me is known, because I have received the death certificate from my great-grandfather in the original. Author: nezars1 Surnames: EISEL Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.bronx/3557.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello, I looked up Albert Eisel and his father Henry Eisel on www.ancestry.com I do not have a subscription, so I can not help with exact details, however there are many records for them, including lovely old photos of Henry and Amanda and other members. I urge you to either sign up for ancestry.com or find someone who has an account to help you. I can say that Albert Essel was in the 1900 census at Hudson, NJ, 1920 census at Hudson, NJ and 1930 census at Bronx, NY. (NY ir New York state and NJ is New Jersey state) I immagine you already have those census? if not email me direct at nezars@aloola.sy and I can get the 1900-1920 for you, I don't have access to 1930. Maybe you already know all this already, maybe you are specifically and only interested in the CHILDREN of Albert? If he had children after the 1930 census, then it might be hard to find them, but you need a nespaper obituary or a cemetery record, or a funeral home record which would say who his closest family was, and who paid for the funeral, and who survived him. Also, those other people who have submitted photos and docuements to ancestry.com, and there seems to be many researchers of this exact same Henry and Amanda Eisel, perhaps you need to talk or email them and discuss Albert further. Like I said, I don't have a subscription to ancestry.com or I could help you which names and email address of these other researchers. I certainly hope that you will be helped. I know that for a person living in Germany it would be a challenge to find out information, but if we all work together we can offer you help. You can see the envelope on http://philgen.org (search on FIORE, click on View, and scroll to the bottom of the page), or click on the link below. I am unable to find a FIORE living at this address in a census, city directory, or other source and wondered if someone more familiar with the Bronx can find him. I believe that Apice, Italy may be his or his parents' birthplace and this envelope will be helpful to someone in their genealogical research. The reason I have a photo of the envelope is because of my interest in using old envelopes and postcards in genealogical research. I have an article in the spring 2009 issue of New England Ancestors entitled Philatelic Genealogy (viewable at the philgen website) and have started the philgen website. Here is a direct link to the photo of the envelope: http://philgen.org/index.php?option=com_fabrik&c=form&view=form&Itemid=10&fabrik=5&rowid=814&fabrik_cursor=0&fabrik_total=1&tableid=5&lang=us Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
