He was my great grandfather. His son Owen was my grandfather and his daughter Violet was my mother. My great grandmother was Lois Bowen Cooper, Joseph's second wife. They were married 9/3/68 or 69 in Fredericksburg, Iowa. They had 5 children, Cora in 1870, Willie 1871, Lida 1874, Owen 1877 and Charles in 1881. Most of this is on census info. By Lois Acker I was told that he had Frank in 1860, Fred 1862. There is a Florence Roe Bonehill mentioned in a letter. Who she is is a mystery to me, but it is mentioned that she is the child of Frank's only sister. My question is which Frank? By the way, this info is from a 1946 letter to my Aunt Dollie from Frank Knight's second wife Adelaide House Knight. She mentioned that A baby Flora was born after Frank and Fred. The baby went with her mother Lois Acker Knight back to New York. Fred and Frank stayed with Joseph in Iowa. In letter it was mentioned that Lydia was a Delano and several of the children resemble the Delanos. How can this be? If she only married the Delano as a 2nd marriage and they had no children. Another curiosity is the Blanchard connection. No where in what little stuff I have is there mentioned anything about Blanchard. Maybe you could clear this up. If so, did Lydia die in New York? I would be very excited to receive anything about the Capens or anyone else that I am connected to. I would certainly like to reimburse you any cost. Possibly you would like my regular EMAIL address. Thank you so much for all that you have shared. It has made my day. Thanks June Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
