Phinney Dec 4 1978 Belmont - Claude M Phinney, 84, who formerly resided on the Tuckers Corner Rd., died Sunday at Jones Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 14 1896, a son of Hiram and May D. Phinney. A lifelong resident of the Belmont area, he was a retired dairy farmer. There are no known survivors. Friends may call from 7 to 9 this evening at the Embser Funeral Home take place Tuesday at 2 pm with the Rev. Enos Nay, retired pastor of the Scio Church of Christ, officiating.
